10 May Workshop : Digital tools and methods for the adventurous Historian

The aim of this workshop is to:

Introduce the digital humanities -- what is it and how can it help?

Raise awareness of digital tools and methods for historical research

Provide practical examples of working with large online cultural collections

Explore new digital possibilities for publication and engagement in history

The workshop is presented byTim Sherratt.  Tim  is a historian and hacker who researches the possibilities and politics of digital cultural collections. Tim has worked across the cultural heritage sector, and has been developing online resources relating to libraries, archives, museums and history since 1993. He’s currently Associate Professor of Digital Heritage at the University of Canberra. You can find him at discontents.com.au and as @wragge on Twitter.
